  • Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
    Location: Cardiff
    Salary: £35,000 per annum

     


    Working for a heating, ventilation and air-conditioning maintenance company. 

    Currently recruiting national service engineers to work remotely in various areas of the UK.

    We are looking for experienced engineers who have intuition and a pro-active outlook in order to provide the highest level of service possible during servicing and reactive call out work. Experience in fault finding, repairing and commissioning is essential along with the corresponding qualifications.

    Required Key Skills:
    £GasSafe qualified across all gas commercial and industrial equipment, applications and installations CPA1, CCN1 CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CODNCO1, CIGA1 ICPN1, TPCP1.
    £Refrigerant handling and FGas qualified
    £Oil Fired Heaters (oftec)
    £Experience working on: AC splits, VRV, VRF, FCU.AH

  • Role: Gas Engineer/Wet Fitter (Installer)

    Location: Knowsley

    Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum

    This is an opportunity to work for an experienced and innovative heating and compliance firm that offers professional gas installation, maintenance and servicing, as well as energy solutions.

     

    Key responsibilities:

    * Undertake the servicing, repairing and maintenance of domestic heating systems.

    * Complete works in accordance with specification and gas safe regulations

    * Completion of all relevant paperwork

    * Ensure customer satisfaction and safety

    * Participate in out of hour's works, including overtime, call out etc.

    * Work to operational procedures, safe working practices and H&S procedures

    * Undertake all other maintenance works within remit

     

     

    Experience and Qualifications:

    * Recognised formal training attaining the relevant craft qualification, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent.

    * ACS Qualifications CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT

    * LPG,UNVENTED Oil, solar and renewable/ASHP qualifications are desirable but not essential

    * Full understanding of gas legislation

    * Full clean driving license

    * Understanding of Health and Safety and working to best practice

    * Ability to manage own time and workload

    * Previous experience of working with the public-  demonstrating excellent customer service.

    Working mainly in the Somerset to Gloucester area but also Dorset and Wiltshire areas when required.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties:

    £Use reverse engineering techniques and Solidworks 3D CAD to produce assembly and part drawings as part of the repair and upgrade of components and rotating equipment.
    £Create parts lists and BoMs using Solidworks 3D CAD, MS Excel, and Jobscope ERP software.
    £Design test rig parts and assemblies for mechanical components dynamic/static pressure tests.
    £Support design and application tasks by performing calculations as required, e.g. force and pressure load, deflection, stress, torque load, heat generation and transfer, leakage, and flow, etc.
    £Inspect components and rotating equipment received for repair to determine part condition, defects and performance problems. Create inspection reports with recommended actions.
    £Provide technical support to both internal and external customers including troubleshooting, failure analysis, non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis. Create conclusive reports and recommend actions as required
    £Determine functionality and materials of construction of components and rotating equipment. Select suitable materials of construction for specific applications as required.
    £Propose and carry out modifications to designs and drawings, including legacy drawings and customer supplied drawings.
    £Maintain and improve design, application and drawing systems, structures, and procedures.
    £Maintain the personal expertise and knowledge required to successfully fulfil the role and participate in and personal development reviews.
    £Participate in regular Team Meetings and communicate personal activity, plans and technical developments.


    Requirements:

    £BEng or Meng in Mechanical Engineering.
    £5 £" 10 years£ experience working with rotating OEMs in an engineering role.  For example-  this might include a combination of Design & Development, Applications,Testing etc.
    £Must have experience of working with Solidworks 3D CAD or similar (SolidEdge, Autodesk Inventor) and be able to produce 3D part and assembly models together with 2D drawings.
    £Must have experience of mechanical design and specifying limits, fits, and geometrical feature tolerances.
    £Must have experience of selecting and specifying materials of construction and proprietary parts
    £Ideally, hands on experience of inspecting mechanical components to determine the root cause of failures and producing associated inspection reports.
    £Alternatively, hands on experience working on mechanical test beds carrying out tests and performance analysis and producing associated reports.
    £Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
