Maintenance Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Electrical 

Location: Washington- Sunderland, North East

12 month initial contract placement:  £18 per hour.

Working for a manufacturing organisation on a 3 shift pattern;

* Monday to Friday (with overtime potential at weekends).

You must be eligible for SC Security Clearance (unfortunately due to security restrictions for this role, the candidate will need to be a British National with no dual nationality and must have resided in the UK for at least 4 of the past 5 years).

Part of the Electrician's role is to work within the Maintenance Team:

•Maintain all plant & equipment
•Working on Preventative & reactive maintenance duties
•Fault finding on PLC programs
•Ensuring down time on machinery is kept to a minimum
•Execution of work orders from the site CMMS

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will have:
•Experience with PLC controls, Siemens and Allen Bradley desirable
•Experience of industrial robots, Fanuc desirable
•Able to follow and interpret wiring, schematic and technical drawings
•Able to use basic tools and machinery
•Experience of electrical distribution systems, HV/LV switching certificate desirable
•MEWP licence IPAF 3a and 3b desirable
•Experience in working in blue-chip industries with time pressure & performance metrics
•Experience in a manufacturing environment
•Experience on CNC machinery

Qualifications:
•Served recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering
•City and Guilds or Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
•17th – 18th Edition IEE Regs
