Approval for Cheshire industrial scheme that could create 720 jobs

Industrial developer and asset manager Chancerygate has been granted approval for a new industrial scheme, Novus, in Knutsford at the recent Cheshire East Strategic Planning Board meeting.

Novus is an extension of the established Parkgate Industrial Estate and will comprise 284,000 sq ft in 16 units from 4,500-60,000 sq ft available on both a freehold and a leasehold basis.

Mike Walker, development director for Chancerygate in the North West, said: “We are delighted by Cheshire East’s decision and aim to start on site as soon as possible to deliver the first phase of around 85,000 sq ft in seven units.

“In parallel, we are currently working to secure the first deals for the scheme having seen a high level of interest from potential occupiers based within and outside the local area.”

He added: “As part of the new scheme, Chancerygate will work closely with other key stakeholders to deliver highway improvements that will bring benefits to the wider local area

“Novus has the potential to generate up to 720 jobs and, hence, the scheme will become important to the future economic success of Knutsford.”

Hourigan Connolly advised Chancerygate to secure planning for Novus.

Gerald Eve and Williams Sillitoe are acting as joint marketing agents for the scheme.
