    The Company: is a large, well established waste management company operating throughout UK. They undertake a range of waste management services in various sectors. My client is growing quite significantly and has a high level of staff retention.

    The Position: You will manage the day to day plant operations in accordance with licence obligations and Health & Safety procedures, including KPI targets, business objectives and overall management of site personnel. Working as part of the operations team, you will ensure safe long term operation of the plant overall. To achieve high utilization of the plant; this will need effective use of resources and manpower on a day to day and hour to hour basis based on demand and availability of the plant. Ensure a very high level of health and safety is maintained within both the plant and personnel and that all policies are adhered to at all times. To manage all personnel on site, identity and undertake training as necessary and encourage continuous improvement and development.

    The Candidate: It is essential that you have experience of working within a waste management plant or process plant. Further it is essential to have set daily and/or weekly objectives and ensured such objectives are met. You must have a high level of health and safety, ideally IOSH but not essential and a good understanding of mechanical handling equipment. As a plant manager you will need to be a manger of people and a strong team player with a flexible approach to working hour as and when the need arises.
